SF Prop H - PG&E Fucks San Francisco - Vote Yes On Prop H

Controversial Television Ad Aired on Comedy Central

In the final stretch of what has been a closely followed election year battle in San Francisco, the Yes on H campaign aired a controversial television advertisement on Comedy Central Thurs 10/30 during the Colbert Report.

The commerical, entitled "Bleeped Over", lampoons Pacific Gas and Electric Company whose 10 million dollar campaign against Prop H is on pace to break state spending records. The utility has just raised rates by 7% for ratepayers in San Francisco and plans to raise rates again in January.

PG&E has come under increasing scrutiny after announcing earlier this year that the company will fail to meet the state's minimum mandates for renewable energy by 2010. The private utility giant has also been accused of corporate misconduct after granting its executives over 80 million in bonuses during a faux bankruptcy and 18 billion dollar public bailout by California tax-payers in 2001.

WHAT: "Bleeped Over"

WHEN: Thursday, October 30th,11:40pm

WHERE: Comedy Central Network, Channel 63

WHO: Written and directed by Zach Freyer and produced by Tom Mich of City State Films in San Francisco
